Back by popular demand! Playing off the success of last interactive panel discussion breakfast we are pleased to welcome the following mentors on November 16, 2017:
- Tim Coldwell, Managing Director, Chandos
- Brittany Coughlin, Energy Specialist, RDH Building Science
- Wim Arits, Director, Willemen Group
Tim Coldwell is a husband, dad and entrepreneur focused on leading by serving, culture, and the monetization of ideas. He serves as Managing Director for Chandos Construction an employee owned general contractor that is leading change in the Canadian construction industry. Tim provides leadership and is responsible for all business operations, people, strategy and ventures in Chandos’ Edmonton and Vancouver districts. Chandos was the first (and is the largest) B-Corp certified general contractor in North America. Tim believes that business can generate economic value in a way that also produces value for society by addressing its challenges. An avid community supporter, Tim sits on several North American boards and is a past campaign co-chair with the United Way.
Brittany Coughlin, is a professional engineer with over 10 years’ experience in energy efficient and sustainable buildings. Her work comprises a wide range of projects including Passive House, new and existing building energy studies, energy efficiency research, and policy and program consulting. Brittany is an ASHRAE Building Energy Modelling Professional (BEMP), a Passive House Certifier, and a LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C). She has presented at conferences across North America on a variety of topics related to energy consumption and conservation in buildings.
Wim Arits is a Civil Construction Engineer with over twenty five years of experience in the international building and construction industry including project management of major projects. He holds a Master’s Degree in Building Management with specialization in large construction projects. His accomplishments include the HQ of the Belgian Federal Police Force and the famous MAS Museum in Antwerp Belgium. His most recent completed project was the Designer Outlet Center at Vancouver Airport. He is passionate about Passive House and adds a unique perspective to the Canadian ICI Construction industry from a European vantage point.
