Skilled Trades Employment Program

The STEP Program is sponsored by The British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA) and the VRCA. The program is designed to assist new Canadians in the transition to the Canadian workforce.

Employers:

STEP is available at no-fee to all employers…like you. You can access STEP at any time to receive referrals of appropriate candidates for you to interview for any employment vacancy you have. To prepare candidates for interview, STEP first meets with each candidate to screen, assess, evaluate, and prepare them before you meet them. STEP provides you with appropriate candidates for any position or skill level. This includes Technical, Engineering, Professional, Office, IT, Project Managers, Supervisors, Coordinators, Superintendents, Operators, Trades, Apprentice, Skilled Workers, Labourers, Helpers, CSO, First-Aid, and more. STEP is available at no-fee to all Service Providers, and Organizations…like you. STEP is managed by BCCA (British Columbia Construction Association), and VRCA (Vancouver Regional Construction Association). STEP has offices in Prince George, Kelowna, Victoria, and Vancouver. The Vancouver office of STEP is located inside VRCA. STEP is available for any employer or employee to access, and take advantage of at any time, in any part of British Columbia.
