VRCA is pleased to announce yet another U35 Networking Mentoring Breakfast!
Event Details: a small group of members of the U35 Network will have breakfast with leaders in BC’s construction industry and hear first hand as they talk about their career in the industry, their success’s and their failures.*
February's session will feature speaker is John Hiebert, Senior Advisor to TASK Construction Management.
John Hiebert is a professional quantity surveyor by training and a gold seal certified project manager by vocation. A B.C. native, he has been managing the construction of projects throughout B.C. for over 40 years.
John Hiebert, together with his partner John Bowser, founded TASK Construction Management and provided construction and project management services to both private and public sector clients for over 20 years. Their work includes numerous public recreation facilities, schools, hotels as well as commercial and industrial-use projects.
Today, John Hiebert acts as a Senior Advisor to TASK Construction Management's Team. His years of experience and construction business expertise are invaluable and continue to help guide the strategic direction of the organization he helped co-found.
Mr. Hiebert is the past president and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. He is also a past member of the Project Management Institute, Construction Management Association of America and sits on a number of industry boards and councils.
In October 2008, the Vancouver Regional Construction Association presented John with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
In September 2009, BCIT awarded John with their distinguished Alumnus Award for his contributions and leadership in the construction industry.
His history with general contractors, developers, design builders and as a provider of PM/CM services uniquely qualifies him to speak from first-hand experiences on the major project delivery models in practice today.
