Managing Your Communications in an Accelerated World
Location: VRCA Vancouver Training Room
This workshop will also address strategies for managing email, phone messages, texting, and dealing with multiple platforms (smartphone, laptop, iPad). Later we will consider how to leverage social media applications such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Youtube and APPs to your advantage. Strategies will be presented through a series of “5-Minute Marketing” tips on these subjects, where insights will be given and then applied to the construction industry. Expect to leave with new ideas, and solid profit driven and time saving strategies to manage your communications.

This course focuses on application of CSA 317.13-07 Infection Control during Construction, Renovation and Maintenance of Healthcare Facilities to address necessary measures and help control risk. The key topics in the course are risk factors / sources of healthcare facility infections, effective procedures during construction, renovation and maintenance, and Infection prevention and control measures for renovation and/or new construction projects. Industrial/Commercial Fall Protection - End User Course
Location: VRCA Training Room
The end-user program is a one-day class in fall protection which references WorkSafeBC standards as well as Canadian Standard Association fall protection equipment standards. Students who complete the end-user training will receive certification from the training agency that is valid for 3 years.
