Wiith the New Year brings new opportunities, new contacts, and one vehicle that can enhance these avenues can be to participate in a VRCA Executive Committee.
VRCA has a variety of committees to choose from. Their categories and descriptions are as follows:
General Contractors Committee
Comprised of VRCA members representing the General Contractors division, this group holds bi-monthly meetings to openly discuss and share their common experiences/issues and concerns with their colleagues.
Trade Contractors Committee
Comprised of VRCA members representing the Trade Contractors division, this group holds bi-monthly meetings to openly discuss and share their common experiences/issues and concerns with their colleagues.
Manufacturers and Suppliers Committee
Comprised of VRCA members representing the Manufacturers and Suppliers division, this group holds bi-monthly meetings to openly discuss and share their common experiences/issues and concerns with their colleagues.
Membership Committee
This Committee’s main objective is to plan, monitor and address the need to market the Association on a broad scope.
Education Committee
An important Standing Committee of the Board and requires representative membership from each Division of the Vancouver Regional Construction Association. The Committee is responsible for the planning of an active education program and also any other specialized course or seminars relevant to the industry.
Events Committee
The Events Committee is responsible for the planning of all social functions of the association. Such functions usually include : Golf Tournaments, the Race Night, Christmas Luncheon and the Annual Convention program.
U35 Network Committee
Comprised of representatives from the construction industry who are under 35 years of age, this committee This Committee’s main objectives is to plan industry activities for the U35 Network to promote network relationships within the construction industry. The Committee also organizes community initiatives with various groups such as KidStart.
